NeoTerra's mission is to bring forward cost efficient residential and light commercial construction utilizing Stabilized Compressed Earth Blocks (SCEB's) while satisfying the triple bottom line of carbon neutrality, fair labor policy, and profitability.
We have one measure of ourselves: What is our impact on carbon footprint?
NeoTerra develops the key elements for sustainable construction of SCEB-based structures with training, partnerships, licensing, supervision, advocacy, and direct construction. While our plan is national, we will grow organically in states friendly to earthen construction techniques that are ripe for cultivation of this revolutionary combination of material and technique. NeoTerra-certified constructions projects give the owner peace of mind that the structures will be sound, quiet, and extremely efficient.
A Key Element
Stabilized Compressed Earth Blocks are the cornerstone of NeoTerra's green building strategy. SCEB's have the benefits of:
- Low Carbon Footprint
- High Strength
- Transpirational Cooling
- Sound Proof
- Hypo-allergenic
- Insect Proof
- Fire Proof
- "Bullet Proof"
With all these benefits, why haven't SCEB's caught on? Cost. It's always cost. NeoTerra has broken though the cost barrier with a new build system that dramatically speeds the construction process to the point of making far-superior SCEB's cost competitive with wood construction.
Neo Terra is a startup dedicated to only one thing: Rapid adoption of SCEB construction. We are a small organization looking to grow this amazing technology as fast as possible. We will do that through training, partnerships, direct construction, or any other creative solution that results in getting people in homes that work for them at a price they can afford.

John is the founder of PaVerde and has been working for the last 10 years to perfect the science of SCEB block-making through careful experimentation and partnership testing with Sandia National Labs. He has a BS in Chemisty from the University of New Mexico, is retired officer of the USAF, and has been the manager of IT for the University of New Mexico, and Business Developer for Applied Research Associates among other key business operation roles.
